I’ve known Alyssa since before she handed out programs at my own wedding over a decade ago, so when she contacted me about her engagement to Jacob, I leaped out of my office chair and jumped at the opportunity to photograph her wedding! You may also recognize her from the senior portraits I did for her awhile ago. My, how time passes so quickly!
Jacob is the kind of guy who can make her laugh, as I quickly learned at their engagement session. He doesn’t shy away from the camera, so this was an especially fun day to photograph 😉
The Windmill Winery is not only an insanely gorgeous venue, filled with lush greenery and a historic barn… they have some of the nicest folks running events there! From vintage cars, to late-night cornhole games… they’ve thought of every last detail to make your wedding comfortable and fun for your guests.
Ok, back to Alyssa and Jacob! The girls (and pups!) got ready in the cutest AirBnB just a few minutes down the road….
While Jacob played GQ photoshoot back at the winery….
You guys should have seen how nervous this groom was to see his bride for the first time! Just too sweet!
Ceremony time! The sun was perfect, the birds were chirping and butterflies flitted about while the processional began. The balloon release was so beautiful! Now for some portraits around this vintage car, and a little walk down the country road to chase that golden sunset…
Such a gorgeous venue and wonderful details! Sheryl with Simply Beautiful did a jaw-dropping job with decor!Â
Toasts all around and some cake-smashing…
There was this incredible moment where all of Jacob’s “moms” joined in for the mother/son dance. It takes a village!
Can’t help but love the switch-a-roo that Jacob’s best man did for the garter toss, LOL!
Congratulations, you two, and THANK YOU for allowing me to be the one to capture this incredible day! 🙂
